Seems Ellen DeGeneres isn't the only Hollywood funny woman with a wife. Wanda Sykes is also married to a lady. And I didn't saw this coming for shit, she was married to David Hall! Comedian Wanda Sykes came out of the closet yesterday at a rally protesting Proposition 8 which banned gay marriage in California. Yup, Wanda Sykes recently spoke out about being a lesbian. Sykes made a surprise appearance at a rally being held in Las Vegas on gay marriage. The AP reports:
"You know, I don't really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life," Sykes told a crowd at a gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.
"Everybody that knows me personally they know I'm gay. But that's the way people should be able to live their lives," she said.
Sykes, who is known for her feisty and blunt style, said the passage of California's Proposition 8 made her feel like she was "attacked."
"Now, I gotta get in their face," she said. "I'm proud to be a woman. I'm proud to be a black woman, and I'm proud to be gay."
Dude, this one is a shocker. For one she was married to some guy in the 90's so this thing about her being gay is like the first real coming out of the closet in Hollywood. Everyone else that came out of the closet was a totall bullshit because everyone knew they were gay. And the story gets even better because she was reportedly got marry to an undisclosed woman in California earlier this year. Wow, Wanda really know how to keep a secret! She could teach the CIA a thing or two about making people keep their mouths shut. Click on picture to enlarge.

We need to make a list of celebrities that are rumored to be gay so we will never be this surprised ever again! LOL... Send your list and names to the email address.

Sykes began her stand-up comedy career in 1987 when she entered a Washington D.C.-area talent competition. Although she lost, she discovered a passion for comedy. She continued to hone her talents at local venues while working as a procurement officer at the National Security Agency (NSA). In 1992, she left the NSA and moved to New York. Her first big break came when opening for Chris Rock at Caroline's Comedy Club. In 1997, she joined the writing team on The Chris Rock Show. The writing team was nominated for four Emmys, one of which they won in 1999. Since that time, she has appeared in such films as Pootie Tang and on TV shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm. In 2003, she starred in her own short-lived Fox network sitcom, Wanda at Large. The same year, Sykes appeared in an hour-long Comedy Central special, Tongue Untied. That network also ranked her #70 on its list of the 100 greatest all-time standups. She served as a correspondent for HBO's Inside the NFL, hosted Comedy Central's popular show Premium Blend, and voiced a recurring character named Gladys on Comedy Central's puppet show Crank Yankers. She had a short-lived show on Comedy Central called Wanda Does It, where she tries out various careers. She frequently winds up choosing what career she will try out after scolding someone in an over-the-top fashion who does the particular job.

In addition to her film and television work, she is also an author. She wrote Yeah, I Said It, a book of humorous observations on various topics, published in September 2004.

In 2006, she landed a recurring role on the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine; she became a series regular in the second season. She also guest starred in one episode of Will & Grace, "Buy, Buy Baby" in 2006. She also provided voices for the 2006 films Over the Hedge, Barnyard, and Brother Bear 2. She had a part in My Super Ex-Girlfriend and after playing in Evan Almighty, had a bit part in License to Wed. Sykes' first HBO Comedy Special, entitled Wanda Sykes: Sick & Tired, premiered on October 14, 2006. Her voice can be heard narrating the most recent Applebee's commercials as the talking apple, along with her infamous ending line, "Get it together, baby." GutterUncensored.com
