The tape, which hit online this weekend, shows a woman who looks like Meg White and an unidentified male having sex in multiple positions. In a statement posted on their website, the band said:
"They thank you for your understanding and well wishes. Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time."
Meg’s representative says:
“Some people have a very twisted sense of humor and this prank is in particularly bad taste. The tape circulating on the Internet as featuring Meg White is fake. It’s definitely not Meg.”
